DSA 2024

Hosted, supported and co-organised by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Home Affairs, the 18th edition of the Defence Service Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA) took place 6–9 May 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur.

According to organisers some 1,324 exhibitors from 60 countries gathered at the MITEC, this year edition occupying two and a half levels of the exhibition centre. The number includes over 100 exhibitors taking part in National Security Asia (NATSEC), which focuses on security issues and equipment.

Delegations from 45 nations visited the premises, the number of visitors having not yet been released.

Beside the national industry, the exhibition was definitely dominated by the Turkish presence, that nation having very close links with Malaysia and many of its companies being closely linked to local defence industry champions. That said, most international players were present at MITEC, as the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces have still several programmes ongoing which attract the interest of the international defence industry.

The Exhibition was inaugurated by the Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, while the Defence Minister, Mohamed Khaled Nordin, opened the Putrajaya Forum that took place at the DSA premises during the show, this forum being an international conference on defence and security.
