RMMV: testing vehicles
Five trucks were awaiting us on the test track located close to the Jansa-Kaserne at Haschendorf, 35 km south of Vienna. The most imressive was the X77, an 8×8 with the wheel on the right side, a clear sign that it might be one of the British contract. Then came an X58 6×6, in desert camouflage. Another 6×6 was the 42M, in the German Army configuration, the last military truck being the 40M 4×4. Last but not least a commercial TGS 6×6 built for Sweden, and fitted with the strengthened roof.
